Upgrading an Amazon LightSail instance

the steps i follow to upgrade a Lightsail instance, snapshot it, move the static IP to a new instance made from the snapshot and reopen the ports.

• Create a snapshot
• Note and detach the static IP
• Note the ports that are open (Networking)
• Create a new instance with the snapshot
• Re-attach the static IP
• Re-open the ports
